Lots of website changes today.

jmtb02.com has been 728 pixels wide nearly since the beginning. But due to the ever-increasing width of Flash games the site has expanded to nearly 900px wide. When I first started making games everyone was making them around 550px wide (the default for Flash). But now that things keep getting wider and wider (the most recent was 800px wide!) the site needed to change with it. It also means I’ll have to type a lot more to make it seem like I’m writing more.
Games since January have (finally) been posted! Timemu, Exit Path, This is the Only Level 2, and others can be found in the Game Section. Finally got something rolling.
For the forums, I think we need to start fresh. Not a bad thing (it means we can finally not have a five-year old forum) but it’s disheartening when things break and post counts get nuked. I am currently working on a rewrite of the forum architecture so people can post stuff about… things.
And here’s a picture of Muffin, just for kicks.

In the grand tradition of cat-caused computer sabotage, Muffin has found the router. It’s been there for years but just recently she decided to commandeer the device. Worse, she’s decided to regulate the internet usage within the apartment.
She loves the router because its a warm device. Its constantly warm and producing a little heat device for her to be around. She can’t lay on top of it because she’s twice as big as the router, so she is all over the place when sapping its warmth.
Recently she has managed to kick the power cable while adjusting her position. I was on the internet at the time and promptly became offline and I wasn’t sure what it was. I then figured out it was Muffin since the router was unlit. She has done this before with other devices as well.
There’s a larger conspiracy here. It may be played off as a “whoops” moment but really… this evidence to a longer string of tech-related incidences, including:
- Sitting on my computer power cable or unplugging it in-general.
- Laying on my keyboard while I type.
- Attacking my cursor on the screen, blocking the view of my work.
- Knocking over my laptop on multiple occasions.
- Kicking out the HDMI cable to my Xbox while playing a game.
- Unplugging my phone during the middle of the night as to prevent me from getting through the work day on a fully charged battery.
- Absorbing the remote control into her stomach fur as to hide the television control.
Muffin is on the warpath. I’m next to certain my mouse and keyboard will be missing tomorrow.

This is my new cat Bagel. It’s Muffin’s new friend. Carlie adopted it in Davis and now it lives in Irvine with me.
Bagel is officially the most hyper cat ever created. Certified, even. Muffin is trying to teach it the finer things in life right now, such as not being so hyper and attacking fluffy things on sticks. So far its working out pretty well.

Anyway, say hello to Bagel. Or as I call him, Bagel Bob.

I went to a movie last night with Dan, we saw Star Trek. And man, that movie was awesome. In fact it’s one of those movies you’d be willing to see again just because it was THAT awesome. I would highly recommend a peek at that one. As someone who sees about 5 movies a year, that says a lot.
I got back from Davis on Sunday and found myself bouncing around the Long Beach Airport during a 4.6 earthquake! Damn, there have been so many earthquakes here since I moved in! It was sort of awesome and terrifying at the same time.
I met Muffin 2 this weekend. He’s the most adorably fuzzy thing ever made. He’s only 2 months old and will be joining the household in June. Muffin is thrilled, I think.
And finally, I put Dan’s coffee cup into Jello last week as an Office prank. The Office (US version) has an early episode where the main character puts a stapler in Jello, and since Dan is a huge Office fan (he even owns the Michael Scott coffee mug, as seen above) we decided to pull a classic Office prank on him. 4 boxes of Jello later, tah dah!
Have a good Wednesday!
