Hello everyone! Dirty work out of the way first, version 1.09 of Elephant Quest is out! Clear your cache on your browser to see the newest version. This will resolve these issues:
• Umbrella quest fixed (no longer gives you another umbrella on reload)
• Trophy quest fixed (no longer hides your trophy, actually a problem attached to the umbrella quest)
• Map fixes for some browsers (some browsers have strange off-screen click rules, I need to investigate more)
• Elephant names hidden on loaded Save Game (saved game issue)
• Area 12 walls climbable
• Area 25 walls climbable
• Area 31 jumping challenges fixed
• Old gun trails removed on new area
• Area 42 ghost block patched
Some of these issues (specifically the first two) are not resolvable unless you do a NewGame+ or a New Game, since your save game has to be rewritten fresh for questlines.
If you find any more issues please feel free to list them, I really appreciate all the feedback I got on the last post. I am still working on the strange “jumping into terrain” bug, I have no clue what it is but I’ll keep going at it (I can’t replicate it for the life of me… strange, strange bug). I need to find a computer that is capable of it.
Okay, beyond that… better news is that Elephant Quest has today reached 500k plays! It’s on the road to a quick million and I’m really happy about that.
And in other news….

Yes, Exit Path 2 is starting pre-production soon and I am starting to field beta testers right about now. There’s a few issues I really want to nip in the butt on this version of Exit Path and I’ll need a good group of people to test this stuff. You can sign up for beta now, and I’ll be picking a few good people to join the beta team for this project. I can’t reveal too much about the game quite yet, but hopefully you’ll sign up and get to see the goodness sooner!
I’m actually working on another project as well at the moment. It’s going to probably be the return of another animal friend (not Elephant this time!) and it will probably be a lot of shiny.
Enjoy your weekend!

Hello friends,
I’m getting a lot of emails so I might as well post here as well, but the old data for saving to your Armor Games account for Exit Path is currently down to due to transitioning to a new server. Your data is safe… merely in a box put in another box wrapped in another box then put on a conveyor belt towards the happy new server. Multiplayer still works, you just won’t get credit for it (unless you are a new player, maybe).
We’ve hosted millions of matches so far and we’re very excited about moving towards a new server for storing the wifis and GB’s.
For more info, check out this blog post.
EDIT: Data is back! Hope it all works out, few emails noted their accounts working.

Life is calming down finally, so time for some updates.

Went to E3 last week with the Armor Games team. Above I am checking out some 3D gaming with Gran Turismo 5 on the PS3, and managing to look like something of a dork. Favourite thing I saw at the conference was the 3DS… pretty awesome stuff.
I move into a new office last week and decided to make my workspace something comfortable and fun to be in, here’s what I came up with:

Lounge chair, green carpet, and a giant reel of paper to do designs and sketches on. I’m loving it so far.

Bytejacker, an indie/digital-distro gaming vlog of sorts, ran an interview for what I do, what I have been doing, and what I plan to do. Go take a look!

Not following me on Twitter? Shame on you (or good for you!). You have failed to learn that the name of the new Emu game is called Timemu. See what I did there? You are an Emu off on an adventure through distorted landscapes of pistons and trees in timescrubbing fashion. Tired of platformers yet? I’M NOT.

Remember Exit Path? It’s been doing extremely well. I’ve tracked at least 300 million experience points given out over the course of the past few weeks (and let’s not even begin to talk about kudos). I love simple concepts and I’m glad others agree.
Had an interview with a local magazine/paper recently, I’ll post links and images once they publish. I got to talk to interesting people in return for my time (I’m looking at YOU Megan and John!).
And just because it’s been a while, I’ll leave on this picture of Bagel, our cat:

Let’s do this mullet style: business in the front, party in the back.
Exit Path beta was a huge success. People found a ton of bugs to get sucked out and overall the reception for the game was more than positive (which is always a relief to me). 600 beta testers we’re invited to the first wave, which helped us squeeze out the bugs while maintaining a good server load. We logged about 280 multiplayer games over those few hours, with some users hanging on for dear life on the server a good hour after the game was gone. Top users were breaking Level 10 of 40 MP levels by that time.
I am opening up Beta Phase 2 to the general public on Tuesday May 18 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Time [GMT -7:00] (Check your timezone!) for additional testing. IT WILL BE FABULOUS.

We’d love you to come into the game and check out my labour of love.

Yunholoman (Andrew at the AG office) and Danny Boy (Dan at the AG Office) are currently the multiplayer leaders with 15 and 18 levels apiece. I think I am number 4 or so.
In other Flash news, I got picked up in an interview with Dan (CEO of Armor Games) on Joystiq! Yay!
IN LESS IMPORTANT NEWS

Bagel made it onto ICanHasCheezburger.com yesterday. I didn’t submit the photo but someone else did. It’s pretty awesome.
I have reached Level 20 in Modern Warfare 2. My Kill/Death ratio is 1.01. I’m feeling pretty good about that.
Mexican food for lunch today. Can’t wait.
Life’s been busy. Can you tell? No blog post in two weeks? I’ve got some big stuff coming up in my life over the next few weeks, I can’t wait to share.
