Let’s do this mullet style: business in the front, party in the back.
Exit Path beta was a huge success. People found a ton of bugs to get sucked out and overall the reception for the game was more than positive (which is always a relief to me). 600 beta testers we’re invited to the first wave, which helped us squeeze out the bugs while maintaining a good server load. We logged about 280 multiplayer games over those few hours, with some users hanging on for dear life on the server a good hour after the game was gone. Top users were breaking Level 10 of 40 MP levels by that time.
I am opening up Beta Phase 2 to the general public on Tuesday May 18 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Time [GMT -7:00] (Check your timezone!) for additional testing. IT WILL BE FABULOUS.

We’d love you to come into the game and check out my labour of love.

Yunholoman (Andrew at the AG office) and Danny Boy (Dan at the AG Office) are currently the multiplayer leaders with 15 and 18 levels apiece. I think I am number 4 or so.
In other Flash news, I got picked up in an interview with Dan (CEO of Armor Games) on Joystiq! Yay!
IN LESS IMPORTANT NEWS

Bagel made it onto ICanHasCheezburger.com yesterday. I didn’t submit the photo but someone else did. It’s pretty awesome.
I have reached Level 20 in Modern Warfare 2. My Kill/Death ratio is 1.01. I’m feeling pretty good about that.
Mexican food for lunch today. Can’t wait.
Life’s been busy. Can you tell? No blog post in two weeks? I’ve got some big stuff coming up in my life over the next few weeks, I can’t wait to share.

It’s March, and there is a few things going on this month.

We’re starting out with Flash Gaming Summit in San Francisco, CA. I spoke last year at the event but now have the honour of showing up and listening to other people talk. Last year someone was giving out wicked awesome finger puppets, I’m hoping they show up again. Also I would love to hear what the community is up to, and to catch up with fellow developers and portals.
I’ve busted open a few new projects. The first project is a multiplayer game, my first one I’ve ever attempted. So far it’s rolling along fine, and it’ll be a bit tough to finish but I’m on it. Lots of spikes and pointy things. There will also be a single player mode for people who want to go solo. I will need beta testers in a few weeks. The second is still in the think tank, but I’m thinking something a bit less ambitious and a bit more heavy skill-based.
On the homefront I’m attempting to finish my taxes and trying to figure out why my back hurts so much. Both seem to be incredibly painful at the moment and I hope I can find a way to get both of them not feeling so awful.
And finally, Bagel turned 1 on Sunday. He’s now officially more cat than kitten. Picture related:

This is my new cat Bagel. It’s Muffin’s new friend. Carlie adopted it in Davis and now it lives in Irvine with me.
Bagel is officially the most hyper cat ever created. Certified, even. Muffin is trying to teach it the finer things in life right now, such as not being so hyper and attacking fluffy things on sticks. So far its working out pretty well.

Anyway, say hello to Bagel. Or as I call him, Bagel Bob.
