    New Game – Epic Combo!

    Flash Launch

    I must be game bingeing or something… I have another game.  This time it’s Epic Combo!

    Epic Combo is a game about making combos.  You see, you’re a businessman with a giant hammer.  You hit turtles.  They fly in the air and hit walls and other obstacles.  You earn money from your hit combo and you repeat, buying extra turtles and weapons.  Your goal:  A combo of 10k.

    I promised myself I wouldn’t make another animal-based game next but it was hard to resist.  I really love turtles too, as much as this game might indicate otherwise.

    This is another small project but I think it turned out really nice.

    I’m working on Flock next, which was delayed for this project.  Flock is going well, but is messing with my mind with all the maths.

    Elijah, John pumps games out like a machine. You seem to fail to understand what a large undertaking it is to complete games of the quality his are, and at the speed he does it.

    another FANTASTIC one, John. Nice and simple. consider doing a sequel, achivement unlocked TWO style, in a year or so.

    I’m bored already; created an infinite turtle paddling machine in Unlimited. Will post a video tomorrow if it’s still going.

    I played Unlimited, and I managed to get a combo going which never slowed down. It would get 1000 points every 2-3 seconds. But at that rate, it would take 100 hours to get to the minimum high scores (120 million). Also the top score is over 500 million.

    Love this game, but unlimited mode is very excruciating in the fact that it takes forever for a combo to finish. I’d like to suggest an ‘end combo’ button for when we think the combo is already big enough as it is.

    not to mention it is very possible for a combo to go on FOREVER because it is possible to completely fill out the floor with the launchers

    I dunno about that. I did manage to figure out that going to the shop stops the combo though so that’s okay :)

    currently have a high combo of 3,106,999. made a near-impenetrable wall of buzzsaws to trap the shells at the top, where they are continuously blasted by turrents and sentinels. getting roughly 5000 combo per second. i’m going to leave this on overnight. hopefully by morning it’ll be over 500 million!!!!!!!!!111

    xXanthx, what is your problem? I come to his website all the time as his games are my favorites, and I like his games a lot, and they are on my list of favorite games. Now after I compliment this great new game, you come along and tell me I don’t understand him and act like I’m insulting him. Seriously? :(

    There is a stop combo button. It’s right next to the green combo timeout bar.

    This game is awesome. It really changes what I feel about combos in games. Really Great! Can’t wait for the flock game to show up. Oh, and who’s the other elijah???

    Dudes, you can’t content yourself with 5000 combos per second. I’m getting more like 10000 combos per second, currently sitting near 13 million combos. I have a couple of tight buzzsaw traps w/ turrets; every turtle eventually makes it into one of the traps due to a solid layer of launchers. Once a turtle is in the trap, the combo count gets a little faster. But I’m wondering how fast I can make this thing go by increasing the flow rate of the turtles – all the flows are at about 300; need to figure out if increasing beyond 300 continues to make a difference…

    This game is boring the second you beat it. I tried to take as long as possible to get 10,000, but by the time i was getting 1000 a second, I was bored to tears. It needs more substance, but for the 10 minutes or so that were amazing, I must say, this game is awesome.

    Cheese, John works for Armor Games and so to provide traffic to his employer’s sight his games remain Armor Games exclusive for at LEAST a week. Also, being an employee means he has to devote most of his time to developing. As much as we’d love to own his time, sadly they do :(
    So he updates when he can, and spends the rest of his time having fun with his wife, cats, and friends, and creating amazing games to distract us while he makes more games to distract us, and have lots of fun.

    But SOME OF US are not content with this. And we require a place to get together and talk about these games, and other parts of life. SO MAYBE JOHN SHOULD THINK ABOUT GETTING TO US, HMMM?

    But it’s totally understandable if you can’t, sirrah. Just… you know, hurry.

    I remember when I messaged him right when the forums broke … and then when I messaged him about possibly giving up on fixing them and restarting them … and then when he decided to start fresh … and then when they were supposed to be up in around 3 weeks … and then when 3 weeks passed by with no comments…

    Your amazing games bring us short bursts of amazing fun, but I believe that the forums are required to keep myself content when NOT playing one of your games… fun used to happen there as well

    ONE MILLION COMBOS!!!!!!! Awesome game, although covering the floor with springs and making little pockets of turtles suspended by buzzsaws helps a lot.

    i bought four springs and each tube level one, and somehow managed to get a turtle stuck in an infinite bounce, so far the combo is at 2,200 :D im gonna get one million
