Well, it sure took a while, but the latest game, Hedgehog Launch 2, is out. It’s new, it’s bigger, and it’s got more to do, and comrades!
Yes, the initial impression is that it’s too easy and I probably agree (expect a v1.1 soon with a bit of difficulty curving, it’s exclusive AG right now so it’s easy to manage) but at the same time anyone who’s not played Hedgehog Launch before still has the same learning curve and takes 20,30, even 40 days to complete the game. That’s the thing about this game… once you get the jive of HL 1 you can ace it pretty easy. The difference between a first time versus returning player is a huge challenge.

Great game! For shits and giggles I tried getting as much cash as I could in a day. I ended up with a bit over 56 million. Is it a record so far?

I have something to point out. When you finish a day and it adds up your cash, the music “Victory is Yours” plays. But, if you hit “Next Day” before it is over, it cuts it off. If you could keep it playing over into the menu, it would sound good.

I know from looking at previous posts that this is not a record total, but, depending on how the other people did it, it may be a record for only pressing one button, also, considering that I just left it for 5 minutes at one point, I think that it is pretty good.

I’ve only played this game once and I already think it’s terrible. I was expecting it to be similar but bigger, but it’s just too different. I don’t like it one bit. I don’t know why I ever looked forward to it. (NOTE: this is my opinion; you can like it all you want.)

I wish the controls were more alike.
I also wish that you didnt go “right through the earth” with no problems. It would be way eaiser to build a better launcher, rather than tunneling through the entire earth.
I dunno… Its still really fun. Just way way different. HL1 was just so great, it is sort of hard to up 1 it.

Sorry, but I don’t no where the screen caps go, but that should do just fine, bask in its glory, I left it for at least 40 minutes after I got to about 80k feet. In case its hard to read, the scores were $7501.00 collected, 93017 feet reached in elevation, and I can’t even read the time, but the multiplier is 432.1, funny huh, if someone can tell me where the caps go, I’d appreciate it.

Another thing you should do for the update is make it so that P pauses and unpauses. Having to click is very inconvenient.

Had a pretty good run. Day five, I got to both the moon and Mars. Fuel sucker is so good. The problem with making the game harder is that it is pretty well balanced already, it’s just that it’s balanced at easy.

Two days now. Perhaps put a third target (Andromeda? Or save that for Hedgehog Launch 3?) at 100000 feet? Something to make it harder, though.

Seems I may have a big score here. Got up to 200,000ft in 30 mins, left it flying sideways at max speed. Over 4 hours later it touched down and I got over 11 billion score: http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/7190/hedgehog.png
