My name is John and you found my website! I make Flash games and do other things. I have this website as a sort of homestead for myself and my work. Thanks for visiting :).
I made a game called Rabbit Wants Cake. It (along with all the other games I’ve been slow to upload here!) will be available here tomorrow. For now its still on Armor Games.
With a little bit of time and energy I whipped up a different concept for a game. Record your actions and then play them back on the game’s stage. Hence, Rabbit wants Cake was born.
There are 25 levels crafted around simple modification of prerecorded player interaction. It’s hard for me to explain, but its sort of like playing a game in the dark, seeing how you did, and then going back and fixing what you messed up. I think you should just play it and see for yourself.
I come up with these silly little game concepts every once in a while. Like TBA or TwoThree I just have this innate feeling like I need to make them and get them worked out.
Wait wait wait, Old Games That Don’t Suck Thursday typically means a game that is old but this is a weird exception. Flash Flash Revolution has been slowly evolving over time and hasn’t quite reached its “okay it’s done,” but since it started so long ago I’ll make the pass. This week, a Flash game!
Flash Flash Revolution was the first Flash game I ever was addicted to. I was mesmerized by the flashing arrows and friend’s ability to knock out these levels left and right perfectly. Yes, it’s got the DDR influence, but it’s the sheer dedication to bringing this platform to Flash and keeping it updated and the community thriving that makes this game incredible. Seriously, it’s an entire community wrapped around a single game, mostly.
When flashing arrows come down the screen, match them to the beat with the flashing arrows above. Keep in-time and make sure your metre keeps full from consistent hits.
Since you aren’t playing with your feet you’re playing with your fingers. Learning to coordinate your fingers on the arrow keys in such a way as to not tie up your fingers and lose timing is a slow but steady learning curve. Overall I feel the experience is fun. Getting better at songs and passing ones for the first time is incredibly rewarding. Not to mention great perks such as credits and song unlocks throughout the system and site.
Go play it! It’s Flash, so it’s available on nearly every OS.
This is my new cat Bagel. It’s Muffin’s new friend. Carlie adopted it in Davis and now it lives in Irvine with me.
Bagel is officially the most hyper cat ever created. Certified, even. Muffin is trying to teach it the finer things in life right now, such as not being so hyper and attacking fluffy things on sticks. So far its working out pretty well.
Anyway, say hello to Bagel. Or as I call him, Bagel Bob.
On random searching today I found this amazing Hedgehog Launch 1 game guide. This thing is written like a full walkthrough, it’s an incredible guide. It includes permutations and different ways to make your way into space as soon as possible.
Still waiting for a master guide to Hedgehog Launch 2, but this is definitely a helpful guide, even for playing the Hedgehog Launch 2 .
