I’ve started writing for my text-based adventure I am working on.
The story is sort of bizarre. It’s not-so-much a story but a sort of “escape” game that takes place completely in text in a few puzzle rooms. It will be light humoured though. Nothing too serious, I just can’t bring myself to make a 100% serious game.
The actual text-based interface is sort of neat. The interface is based completely in text, but it accommodates the user by colouring the text correctly. For example, action words turn blue and nouns turn green. This way you know exactly what you need to be looking for and what words work!
The game should be done next week. I’m finishing the story soon and will be programming plot triggers and such very soon.
