Bunkers is almost done. We have yet to reveal a name for it but it’ll be announced within the coming days. In fact we’re just polishing it up, and it should be out probably this week. There is so much testing to be done. It’s my first real strategy game so it’s a careful process of building up the game and making it not broken. You can view more screenshots over at the Armor Blog (I really need to find a way to syndicate what I write here and there).
After that I have a minigame to-do. It involves traffic lights. I hate traffic lights. More about that later.
And there’s a game somewhere in there about Giraffes too. More about that later.
And the RPG! Man there’s a lot of projects. More about those too later.
As for site news goes, excuse my rant yesterday, I was rather frustrated over “muted gameplay” comments last night. I watch other developers get picked on for not having a mute button, and to me the relevence of muting inside a game seemed so trivial compared to things like core gameplay, graphics, etc. I thought I needed to bring it up. And luckily I had the opportunity to listen to all of you, so all said and done it was interesting to get that feedback and I find myself on the short end of that stick. What a humbling experience as a developer. Anyway…

I fear that this may turn out to be one of those laggy games
I know that lag issues isnt something a game creater could control
looks great otherwise

Actually, @Captain Canuck, we’re having pretty optimal framerates, at least on our side. We’re averaging about 30-60 fps… most of the time around 50-60fps.

Awesome, John. Could you please tell us if
1. you are going to start adding remember codes again;
2. they will ever be used;
3. and should I delete that notepad file with the codes
.

REMEMBER CODES! I forgot about those. They’re probably just random numbers that he will spends hours later trying to figure out a good use for them. Maybe a seekrit message or unlockable code. Either, screenshot looks fantastic. Also John, when you say no lag, are you testing this locally or in a browser?

I thought remember codes were going to be for the RPG.

But it’s been three games without codes already.

If this game is anything like the game Worms, I’ll be very pleased. I wish I hadn’t lost that game.

Wow, this looks great!
I love the games like Worms. And I hope this one will be like Worms.
Anyway, I love it, John. ^^

The only thing that gets me about this game is that there’s a time limit for each level.
In a Tanks-style velocity-shooter game, I would prefer unlimited time. The time limit is the only thing that I dislike, but it also prevents me from enjoying it as much as I want to.
Really, it’s a great game, I would give it a 9/10 if it didn’t have a time limit.
But, since the limit has hampered my experiences with the game THAT much, I have to give it a 4.5/10.
Sorry, but it really takes away from the game.
