Dark Cut 2 is out, finally. In this game, you take the place of a medical surgeon out in the Civil War battlefield. Using techniques from it’s time period, you must carefully use the tools given to heal your patient. The gruesome sights and sounds of battle are part of the trade, and you must put up with the trouble to help save a life. This game is really dark and gruesome. Compared to the light and happy nature of most of my games, this one was a complete 180. It was nice to stray off the beaten path for a while. This game took three weeks, and was made using a combination of Photoshop and Flash. The artwork was completely done in Photoshop, including the animation sequences. Flash merely provided a way to program it all together.Hope you enjoy this work, and that it lives up to the millions of views that Dark Cut 1 had!DIGG IT!Play it Here!Vote on NG!

I change my site around a lot, and I don’t know if I do it because I am finicky or because my website and graphics skills improve quickly with the years. But anyway, the site is looking a bit different today, and will continue to as I move towards updating the graphics and the style of the site. The site will remain true to the Elixir Lite upgrade it received a while back, but will get a few minor fixes here and there that I can now fix.A new feature I always wanted is the dynamic “What’s coming up” meter, which shows what I am currently working on and how far along it is. I finally was able to code it, and it now appears above the navigation. The navigation has always been a tricky thing as well, so I have made a simple Flash navigation that is prone for upgrades and easy fixes. The rest of the site still looks like the old site, and the animations page is STILL not up (shhhhh don’t tell anyone) but all-in-all, it’s nice being able to fix the site again. Now that brings up the question. What would YOU like the see on the site? How do you like the upgrades thus far?

It’s been about a year since Dark Cut became one of the most popular games to launch from this site. Because I am a complete sucker for sequels, I have decided to tackle the task of creating a new Dark Cut.Taking part in the American Civil War, you are a field medic healing the soldiers of war. Using real procedures from the 1800’s, the game plays much like the previous, except this time with four surgeries and several new features. The artwork of the knife above fits the graphic style of the game. Instead of the more hand-drawn style of Dark Cut 1, there will be a much more realistic style to it. Hopefully the realism can add a different twist to the game. Hope your stomach can take it! Dark Cut is really the only series on my site that is ultra-violent, ultra-creepy. It’s fun to step the boundaries. Hopefully the angry parent letters will be minimal again if I give an age warning this time…
