I quite literally stumbled upon this little beauty… it’s a tiny website. Check it out
. http://www.guimp.com/.After that little diversion, I admitted to my friends at work that I played too much Halo. And it’s true… I play an hour or two or day, just so that I can rifle-butt or frag someone. It’s not that I am a violent person by any means… hell… if there was a game where I could hand flowers to people, I would. But man. Halo 3 beta is addicting. Luckily, the timebomb beta will only last until early June, so my life is safe until then.User Tastylamp and myself were talking last night about my previous “Buckets of Soda” post, and we were discussing the soda sizes in other countries. According to Tastylamp, the largest soda you can get at Mc Donalds is just above 22 ounces. Given that the average vending machine in the United States gives out 20 ounce sodas, that means that the United States wulfs down an amazing amount of soda. I was kind of disgusted by that fact, and will now be routing my drinking habits back towards water.I’ll be grading homework tonight for my Teaching Assistant job… see ya!-jmtb02

Last Saturday I visited San Jose State University with Carlie and her family, to see Carlie’s brother graduate. It was an amazing experience, seeing 7,500 amazing students getting to graduate and be at school for the last time (or, if they are going to graduate school, maybe a bit more). But it only lets me hope for my own graduation.I am graduating in Summer this year from college. When I see others move on, it makes me really, really want to move on. I have grown tired and apathetic of college, and I really want to get out there and make a difference in the world. I have managed to get through college in only 3 years, paying for two years of it off of my Flash work. I would love to start paying for a condo or a house sometime in the future, and get out of this rigorous education.Sunday, I managed to get out of the house and see Pirates of the Caribbean 3. I got to say, I was somewhat overwhelmed by the technical genius of the final battle. The plot was kind of hazy, with lots of flip-flopping of sides and enemies, but the battle rules it all. If you have a chance, avoid the critics and go see the movie. So today, I’ll be taking some time to do some school work, play some Halo, and get rolling with the final design of the Ball Revamped engine.-John

I live in a part of Davis, CA, that is just down the road from an Arboretum. An Arboretum is a sanctuary for trees, plants, and foilage, as a sort of outdoor library of plants. There’s been a ton of baby ducks, and as a normal commute for me to get to school, it’s always enjoyable to see the ducks. The group of baby ducks live on the Arboretum trail, where they eat with their mother every day. Sometimes they journey onto the trail, where I have to stop my bike and wait for a few moments for the mother to get them all out of the way.On the other side of campus, there’s a group of baby ducks and a mother that live outside a food court. The little ducks tend to run wherever they want, and once they ran straight into the bookstore. As people flocked around to see them run in, it just chased them further into the bookstore, and suddenly a ducky swarm took place.Nonetheless, it’s nice watching them grow up. This is great because I know my time at school is winding down, and I can finally graduate. Time passing is so nice, especially when I feel like I am getting little out of school anymore.I can’t wait for graduation. Until then, I’ll just be finishing up school projects and assignments, and as finals week approaches, I am getting more and more happy that I am reaching the end.-John

I’ve been incredibly sore for the past two days. After working really hard on the Street Painting (see last news post), my legs have been aching from bending over and kneeling on the hot cement for eight hours. It’s really weird though, because it doesn’t hurt to walk. It only hurts to step up or down, such as on stairs. Tomorrow should be much better though
.Yesterday I had the chance to see Spiderman 3. If you like films with four different endings and not much inbetween, I would recommend you see it. Otherwise, save you $8 for a few ice cream cones… it’ll probably be tastier!Otherwise, in Flash news, I have yet to buy Flash 9. I am really putting it off, which is probably a terrible idea, but I am curious to see how long I can survive by just using Flash 8.And that’s it! Halo 3 beta tonight, feel free to join me if you got it on Xbox360 (my sn is jmtb02).Take it easy, John. -
